Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri! - a joyous greeting from our students in Joyful Kids Montessori School. As practiced, we never miss celebrating this meaningful feast with our pupils and parents. Our Bahasa Melayu Teachers spearheaded the activities and everyone participated and enjoyed every activity.
The day started with a demonstration from our teacher how to bake Pelangi Kek (Rainbow Cake): a delicacy that is served during Raya and functions. The kids were able to take part in making they cake by putting the batter of different colours in the pan.
They also gathered for a combined powerpoint presentation about Ramadhan and Hari Raya that was presented by our Bahasa Teachers. Before they separate for their "Open Class", the teachers lined up in front of the class and the children went up to Salam ( a gesture of greeting and showing respect).
As they were back to their classes, they all started to feast and share the food that they brought for one another. The kids were delighted of so many food and desserts to choose from. The pupils also received Raya Packets from the school as they go home.
We are very thankful to the families in Joyful Kids who came and joined us in our Open House. We appreciate your presence and undying support in our activities.
